It's been in a 4yrd skip for the last 3 nights.... and believe it or not today I heard the the cries of "any scrap metal...many times over" (must've been to lazy to have a look in the skip in the drive).
Mixer tap had been removed for the client's granddaughter.

Talking of baths get a load of this, I was speaking to the guy who re enamels old baths and he said one of his customers has a bath like the one he's doing for me and he said she has still got the receipt of purchase bought the day Kennedy was shot and it was £650!
Its a cast iron art decco revival pink jobby.

I did a wee review of it last week mate. It's great but has it's limitations, mainly involving access, but I'll use it as and when I'm able to. I'm also a big fan of Yorkshire Tectite Sprint copper pushfits. These are very similar in appearance to press fit fittings and require the same preparation before jointing with a de-burring tool. They also don't need pressed. These compliment the press fit fittings in areas with restricted access, such as under kitchen base units. Just be careful what pressing machine you buy off Ebay, as you can easily end up with someone elses junk.

I'm not a big fan of plastic pushfit systems, but the Yorkshire Tectite fittings are made of copper and non demountable. Once fitted they aren't coming off again. They are a perfect alternative to end feed and no flame is required.
 
Just need to plan ahead with press rems do some cool 45 degree jaws that fit both novos

Yeah I like and have used them on surface work, however veey happy to use Hep2o or Polymax underfloor in boxings etc.

LCS to new water mains
Hi, I have an old steel water mains pipe (approx 45mm) that I need to connect to a new pehd water mains (25mm). I can't get at it to create a new thread so what's the best way of connecting the two? Cheers, Peter

Outdoor stopcock doesn't fully close
Hi all I'm hoping someone can shine a light on this for me Since our stop tap on the pavement has now been filled with sand for whatever reason, we are relying on our property fitted stopcock (this is outside on our garage wall) Unfortunately turning this to the closed position only reduces...
