Unsure if any of you are aware of this, but I am currently part of a group of tradesmen who are campaigning for tougher sentences for those who commit tool theft, van theft and damage to vans when attempting to break into them.

We are aiming to get 100,000 signatures on our petition in order to get it considered for discussion in Parliament. We are currently at 22,000.

I'm sure every one of us has either been victim of tool theft, or will know of someone who has been a victim.

The current punishment is a measly £80 fine if the person is caught, which seems massively unbalanced when you consider they could steal thousands of pounds worth of tools they can sell on easily.

Please show your support by signing the #NoVANber petition on the link below, and share it with as many friends, family, colleagues etc as possible.

Petition: Investigate what more can be done to tackle van theft and van tool theft.

Thank you!
