This is not a plug and I did not design any part of any of these boilers. However anybody got 1st hand experience of these baby’s ? I love the website anybody installed any ? Rob Foster aka centralheatking

Yep I have one in my own house for a year now Rob a good company to work with, a top end product extremely well built, the heat recovery economiser is a good energy saving feature , has weather comp, the one control smart thermostat is not that easy to set up and connect to is my only criticism . Hard for me to sell them in my area as obviously quality costs so compared to other top end brands they come out more expensive you can install lower spec models but not fitted any myself , I would definitely have another in my own home . Cheers kop

I have fitted 4
Do you plan to install them?

Installed more than enough to say it’s an absolut copy of Vaillant from inside and outside. Unfortunately in uk Vaillant does only ( I believe it was 2 boilers ) with passive heat recovery which in turn reduces the amount of gas usage due to using the flue gases to pre heat the mains incoming cold water.
I also don’t like the fact that atag is actually a kitchen fitter company and just turned into plumbing some years ago. But, it is again just my personal opinion so just get an appointment booked up and see yourself. The boiler is definitely well build but for me it is not the Europeans best boiler ... Vaillant is marked leader so don’t get fooled by the satement. They may have the lowest nox figure but that does not mean anything. You also can’t compare Vaillant boilers with Vaillant models in Germany they are totally different designed ... much higher efficiency in Germany. But definitely good boiler to install in uk better than baxi, biasi, Main of any other low quality boiler.

A very comprehensive and informed post thank you

The cover looks similar, apart from that I would say they are nothing alike
Wouldn’t say 100 identical but definitely 95% Vaillant. Just writing missing and a little bit of oval shape that’s all. I don’t mind you disagreeing but as you can see with your Owen eyes it’s a copy :)

Yes Ron. Absolutely identical mate. Not sure where you got that info from. But clearly it is wrong.

Dunno, I think ATAG have a lifetime guarantee on their hex so it might come with certain stipulations plus you rarely see an aerator on a domestic.

Will have a look

Where is your evidence? I can't find any.

There are two companies marketing Atag boilers:

1. Atag Heating UK Ltd, a subsidiary of Atag Verwarming in Holland, which sells the A and Q ranges made by Verwarming;

2. Atag Heating Technology UK Ltd, which is an independent company, which sells the I range also made by Verwarming.
