I remember seeing 'scheme' work put in 15 years ago, (Isar - icos) to me they looked like good installs. I suspect every job will be checked after so the engineer will have to do what's required.

I think I'll have to have both the pumps running with the DHW zone valve holding the heat from the cyl. (There is a bypass)
Or one pump on the pump over run and the other one stopping when the demand ends.

All boiler break and regardless of your budget or what make/model you have installed, the frequency your boiler breaks bares no relationship to the price you pay for the it.

I'm also not sure that turning the gas off is dangerous, if I find a boiler that's dangerous I turn the gas to make it safe.
