    Baxi Solo 2 change recommendations.

They don't want a combi. I'm going round tomorrow, they said having an unvented cylinder depends on if they can afford it. Not sure they know what they want

Yes I actually joined their scheme last night and saw it said by fitting the boiler protection kit can give 10 years. I thought they may have something new to the market that other manufacturers don't. Was disappointed to find its just their filter.

Thanks for the replies. Going off his information I was thinking Vaillant 418, I obviously need to go and have a proper look first. I thought 30kw seemed a bit overkill. I'm not sure why someone would have quoted him that. They probably haven't.

    Baxi Solo 2 change recommendations.

Hello everyone. Another post to add to the endless list. I have been asked to go and give a price for replacing a Baxi Solo 2. The customer has said that he has already been quoted for a 30kw boiler. It's a y plan set up with open vent. He said he might also decide on an unvented cylinder...

Recommendations to replace this in landlord property

Hi everyone Another post from myself to add to the list if not a problem. What would you be replacing this with in a landlord property? He's not too bad, doesn't want to penny pinch and put in the cheapest rubbish available but wants reliability and not be ripped off. What would you go for...

    Cleaning out plate hex.

Yes thanks, I realise this. I can always advise the system needs flushing and clean the hex out separately but realistically not every customer is going to want the system flushed. If it was down to me it would be a system flush but how many blokes remove the plate and clean it out and hw is OK...

    Cleaning out plate hex.

Just cleaning the plate is what I mean not a system flush. Fx 2 normally does the job, was more wondering if brick acid is any better.

    Cleaning out plate hex.

I have been using fx2 and boiling water and it seems to do the job OK but I have had one or 2 that have needed to come out and be cleaned again. I know a guy who thinks it's a waste of time and he just replaces them but I've only had a couple that I couldn't clear because they were too bad...

I said I'll be using as much adhesive as needed. Faces were a picture when they had to go for another bag :D

Customer has removed tray etc and wants tiled floor no tray

To be honest I think they are redoing the ceiling....the light is directly above the shower. No it's quite a small box, apparently they are eco friendly and will be buying large bottles of shampoo etc and filling mini bottles. Box/tiles etc supplied by customer. It was fun being asked to use...
