Hi all
I install in new builds and use mainly roca as specified.
Im. Having many plots where the syphon makes a loud clunk as it closes..
Never seems to be any rhyme or reason to it sometimes its downstairs so.etimes upstairs and invariably it's only one wc in a house with 2,3,or 4
Changing the syphons make no difference
Any ideas please

By syphon do you mean the fill valve, clunks as it closes?
Didn`t know Roca made fill or syphon valves tbh.
Anyway high water pressure most likely.

Yes new one on me , maybe a Roca cistern with another manufacturers fill/drop valve , could you post a pic

I believe Roca do use their own syphons, horrible cylinder ones with a blue float in centre. Not sure about their fill valves tho

The clunking your hearing...you sure it's not from the filvalve droping once water level in cistern had dropped after flushing? If so has the flow regulator/restrictor been fitting into the valve?

Shutting off too quickly due to high pressure. Make sure the flow regulator sis fitted inside the valve tail. You may have to turn down the flow a wee bit with a slotted iso valve fitted.

Thats a Roca signature sound. Its the flush valve dropping. Fitted em for years out of pref cos the seals made of superb silicone. Last for ever :D

Every customer got used to it. Never ever changed one out. Taught people hpw to clean em so perfik.

You clearly have more normal customers up there mate so.e of em down here create merry hell...its difficult to explain why only one toilet from 3 does it though

You're right on both counts :D
I never worked out why either to be fair. Some just didnt - ever. Bit bizarre I agree, but NOT something an installer has any control over.
Perhaps knock it back to Roca to explain/advise?
