Maybe not the usual thing you might see on a forum, but I thought I would give it a shot. My Dad is having Chemo and needs a walk in shower fitted with a bit of tiling. We purchased the shower tray, surround, tiles etc and had a plumber who is a family friend lined up but he has had to pull out last minute. Now we are looking for plumber to do the work in Nottingham asap. The plumber we had lined up told us its a 1.5 - 2 day job max as most of the bathroom is staying the same, just really replacing the bath and some pipe work and tiling. I've called a few plumbers and it seems many are booked for months or don't want a smaller job like this, they all want the big expensive jobs. Does anyone on here know a qualified, reasonably priced plumber in the Nottingham Area who could do the work for us. It will make life so much easier for my Dad if it can be in within the next month or so.

its not exactly a plumbers job, bathroom fitter more like - contact your local housing associations they will tell you who they use and might even help you - good luck

i would be surprised if any decent plumber is free in the next couple of weeks

Hello Ashley, have you got it sorted (realise it's a few weeks since you posted)?

I've got an issue with the shower tray not being totally flat. As you can see from the photos, it is about 7mm out at one side. It's leaning towards the waste end though. The shower tray is pushed underneath the tiles. My mate did the tiling and I now realise that we should have put the shower...

We had a plumber come to fit our concealed shower. He plumbed it in, then we fit the plasterboard and tiles. However he soon realised that he had set the shower valve body too far back into the wall so that he physically could not fit the valve handles onto the spindles because they do not...
