I'm needing to buy a 16mm & 51mm porcelain/ceramic tile hole cutter for infrequent use - what are the best value products on the market?

Also which is best, cordless drill type OR M14 cordless grinder type?

rubi

I love the Rotozip X cores , but I think they are now marketed by Bosch.
Will try find out and post back

I am very impressed with the B&Q diamond edged hole cutters for toughness and value for money.
Full kit best value, if they still do them.

I bought a couple of cheapies from Screwfix - they've worked fine on ceramic however I bet they won't cope with porcelain.... we'll see

I use Rubi as well. Also use a rubi discs on my mini grinder. Awesome bits of kit. Not the cheapest though.

I've a Marcrist diamond blade for my Makita cordless mini-grinder, it's the EXTRA thin type designed for 'cordless'

I reckon it's time you splashed out Harvest! :)

You'll be amazed at the power of cordless nowadays!! I recently bought 4no. 5 Ah (18v) batteries for my Makita LXT gear - they're incredible.

People like DeWalt & Milwaukee are sporting 8 / 9 Ah batteries now... you can put your extension leads into the darkest corner of your van now... :D
