Sounds like a circulation issue mate, or a blockage. What make and model of boiler is it. (Pic would be good) you may have an external pump in the Airing Cupboard. If so and you are confident enough make sure that the pump is spinning. If not then their is your issue. Also have you vented your radiators?

Hi Harvest Fields,

It’s a ‘GlowWorm Fuelsaver F’ - picture attached.

There is no pump in the airing cupboard.

What do you mean by vented the radiators?

Is it something that should have been picked up on the gas safe test/certification? It passed last week.

Thanks! Phil

Can I have a pic of the airing cupboard please. When I say vent I mean bleed each radiator incase they have air in.

Not if it's just started this morning!

Hi Harvest Field,

Yes the radiators are bled frequently, last week in fact, I’ve uploaded pictures of the pump on the airing cupboard, sorry I didn’t think there was one initially.

Thanks, Phil

Agree with above mate. If you are renting get a GSR out to repair. The pump may be knackered and needs checking.

If you bled the system last week I would pop your head up in the loft and look in the small water cistern (tank). Check there is water in it. Sometimes the ball valve can get siezed shut and when you bleed the system the tank (and in turn radiators/system) eont have water in it. If this is the case call your landlord but in the meantime take a jug or bucket and put water from the big tank to the small one yo refill the heating system.

Saying all that, it's more likely to be a knackered pump but just worth checking.

Is it just me but isn't there a bit of staining above the top lhs corner of the square around the burner view window. If so the boiler is not in great health & needs changing?
