Hi All,

I have a Gerberit Duofix which I boarded over and tiled. When I attach the pan, should I have anything between the back face of the pan and the tiles? The tiles are pretty flat, but should i have a small bead of silicone, or something else there?
 
You could put a small bead around if you like. Run one around after its fitted to for neatness
 
I think there should be a white sheet of foam between them that came with the Geberit
 
The foams an optional extra. Robbing bar stewards. Not as though the frames are cheap.
 
Thanks all for your input - I have found one of these Abacus Easiplan Wc Frame Self Adhesive Sound proof Pad EPSP-05-3508 which is a few quid less than the Gerberet one and protects that ceramic to ceramic interface!

Cistern Pan Hose Question
I have a pneumatic concealed cistern behind a removable vanity panel. I pulled the panel off to investigate a dull knocking noise when the cistern is coming to nearly full, I haven't ascertained what this might be as yet, I wondered if it was the cold water pipes knocking (as in water hammer)...

What is purpose of these holes in shower enclosure?
I have holes in the wall of my shower enclosure. Down low at the open corner, between the quartz wall and the solid pan. Same at each end of the shower. They are obviously intentional. But they seem stupid to me. Just a hole where water can intrude thru the quartz wall to whatever is behind...

Wall mounted toilet problem with offset soil pipe.
Hi guys, I've had a search and couldn't find anything related. Installing a wall mounted toilet, unfortunately didn't know this when I put the soil pipe in position. The supplied fitting is now approximately 130mm offset from the vertical connection. Any ideas? (amateur obviously!) Wondered...
