Weight for kitchen sprayer tap

Hi, can anyone advise how and where the weight attaches to this kitchen sprayer tap please.

Does water mix in the tap then flow up the black flexible pipe to the sprayer?

Separate the two halves as ShaunCorbs suggests, place over the black flexi at a position where you can pull the nozzle out as far as you want and re-fasten. Make sure the black flexi is free to go up and down without catching on anything.

And as per Shaun, the weight needs to be positioned so it's biased towards the spray head side so it's always pulling the head down.

It’s a cop out but saves having to go down the route of cat 5 back flow

As above on the black hose. Middle ish. But may need to move it slightly once tap is fitted and tested.

It's almost impossible to actually make a pull out spray tap like that comply. Kitchen sinks are Catagory 5 backflow risk so require air-gaps and break tank for this type of tap but nobody ever seems to do that because it's too much hassle but to comply with regs that's what should be done. For this reason I do not fit and do not like these pull out taps at all. At the very least get a double check valve on the supply pipes.

Always fit double checks on kitchen sink taps

Not really they can still swill plates down

I think I remember doing the washing up once, it was a long time ago but I was able to swill plates adequately without a pull out!
I've never been convinced of saisfying regs properly without a break so always advise against fitting.
Also it's an extra unneceassary thing waiting to fail

Stigster is right plus most of them require high pressure so tank would have to be well above
