could they supercede my Knipex vice grips? As Madonna used to say, please justify my love...

Hi everyone,
I am going to change the tap in my bathroom, is it quite straightforward to change a single lever tap, do I need any specific tools or should I get a plumber in to do the job, thanks.
Hi.
I've recently purchased a press tool which is branded geberit but it's actually a novopress aco 103.
I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an adaptor that would fit so I can get the machine in tight spaces. I know Rems do a 45° attachment but not sure if this would fit in my...
I've found this website called gasqet.com. They make 3D printed washers made out of a different plastic that is higher spec apparently, so it's a lot stronger, and recyclable (though why you'd want to, I have no idea). But they are the same price as normal washers.
Has anyone tried them out...
Hi, does anybody know what gas is in the freeze master's pipe freezing units, mine could do with a check and a top up. My local aircon branch said they might be able to re-gas the unit if it contained a gas they had. Thanks in advance.
Hey all,
First post here, am an avid DIY'er and I'm putting in my mother-in-law's bathroom this weekend, this will be the 3rd bathroom that I've put in, however, I always get by with the poor tools that I have.
In your experience what would you say are essential tools?
I'm also looking to buy...
I bought a torch a few years ago that uses EN417 butane/propane cylinders.
As someone who only uses a torch now and again, the torch has been fine on smaller copper pipe but struggles on 22mm, especially in the cold.
I have seen an adaptor by Monument (437a) which I think should allow me to...
Has anyone bought one yet? Going to buy one? Or even leasing one with a view to buy.
Probably crazy to buy one now as the price is only going to come down I guess.
Thoughts?
Cheers
The drain cock on my water cylinder is very close to the ground and is obscured by piping installed by the previous owner. The spigot is at the bottom but, try as I might, I can find nothing to tighten it. Can anyone offer any advice ? Thanks
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering whether a professional plumber would use a tape to seal a leak temporarily so you have time to actually carry out the repair/ purchase parts?
How often do you use a tape for sealing a leak temporarily?
What type of tape would you use for this kind of job?
Duct...
Looking to buy some Extra Deep Sockets for use on taps instead of box spanners..The fixing bolts on the taps in my house are 8mm and 10mm, so I was wondering what are the other common sizes? Trying to decided whether to buy a full set of if I only really need a couple?
I'm looking for a quality robust sealant between rubber bathroom flooring and sanitary ware as well as gap filling between floor and skirting, it's not a wet room but needs to go off hardish and be easy to clean. Does CT1 fit the bill?
After the plumber changed the expansion vessel, the boiler was leaking even worse leading it to being condemned. It is quite old, so I suspect it was on its last legs anyway. Still, he was banging it quite a lot, and I just wanted to check there was a good reason for him to do so. Thanks.
currently an apprentice and just changed over some basin taps my tap spanner isn’t great and slips off a lot, can anyone recommend anything decent and not too expensive?
thank you
