What is the significance of the kg/hr stamped on danfoss nozzles, I have a 0.6 usgpm nozzle fitted in my 20/26kw Firebird SE boiler. 0.6 usgpm is 2.27LPH and my boiler output of 20kw at 84% efficiency reflects this more or less. 2.27 LPH = 1.79 kgs/hr (see table) at a kerosene SG of 0.79, there...

Hello, this is my first time on the forum. Three months ago we had a 1000 lt fill. We then noticed a strong oil smell when the boiler was firing up. There was no sign of an oil spill. Contacted our engineer to have the boiler serviced, still the strong oil smell was there. Recommended having new...

Hi all I have to site a condensing oil boiler close to a boundary. Its going to be one of these Greenstar 50/70 or there abouts. The 600mm rule doesnt look like it applies, I think is 2.5 metres from the boundary as its condensing. 1) What should my distance from the boundary be? 2) Does this...

I have here a Trianco TRO 15/19 boiler and on inspection it has no baffle plates, just the flimsy flue baffle box. Without any plates the flue temperature is off the scale! Did Trianco make the boiler (I think it must be a Mk.1 TRO 15/90) without baffle plates?

I am told that a Toby 4cc-13cc oil control valve can be used to replace my Rayburn’s faulty obsolete BM30 4cc-13cc oil control valve. Will the Toby fit directly in place of the BM30 on the same mounting bracket on the side of the Rayburn, and are the Toby’s inlet and outlet connections in line...

God how I hate this thing! So the problem with this thing aside from it being filthy and inefficient is that the boiler keeps cycling and on restarting has an explosive ignition. I've checked and rechecked the levels of the boiler burner, flushed the central heating pipes and all the rads and...
