    thats just like sticking a service valve on the end. I thought they were classed as un-capped pipework

    that's not a bad idea. can't be a rubber seal around the ball though otherwise it would melt when soldered. maybe teflon or something else heat proof.

    Do they make left and right sided ones?

    Sensible! Assume it has seals like on a lever valve.

    That's what I meant by lever valve teflon seals, - if it hasn't them & just has rubber seals, then it will leak at screw. Hopefully it will have same seals as some of the heavier full bore service valves.

    i like the B&Q jobbies you can only operate by opening with a screw driver situated inside the spout
