hi there iv got to replace a two way motorised valve, just wondering what is the most reliable make to replace with, I know the others only last 12- 16 months so you have to keep going back, if anyone has got any ideas or just basic discussion on motorised valves would help my knowledge.

Iv just been told that info from a plumber myself, but im still learning,
So aj what opinion of the best M.V out there iv been told to stick with honeywell.?
Its just my family member has no CH and i suspect its the M.V because they told me it happened a couple of years ago. Im gonna see if there is any power to the motor first then if there is maybe replace just the motor than having to drain the system. its a 3 port mid postion, i think you can replace the motor ?
Have you got any views on this aj would be appreciated,

I had a look lastnight and checked the power, there seems to be no signal going to the motor from the programmer to tell the CH to come on, By rights once that programmer tells it to, the motor should move the valve in theory? Theres defo power going to the motor i check it with a multimeter. Then i just had to move that switch you talked about over but once i let go it moved back making a whirring noise, so then i tryed again and switched it right up to the end and i could then here the CH sytem kick in, but a soon as pressure i released off the switch it knocks off the CH off, even if the switch is put into the slot its not enough to kick in the CH you basically have to wedge the switch right over for it to stay on, I told them that its temp fixed but they have to use the wall stat to turn CH on and off now when they used the programmer, I think its the motor myself but if you got any ideas it would be appreciated, sorry about the long winded question but trying to get the most info in. jep

yes theres power on the white and orange wire?

yes pal the boiler and pump fire up,but only when that lever has been pushed over. im trying to establish if its the motor that needs replacing.?

Thanks for your views on it aj just wanted opinions before i replaced the motor, so its gotta be faulty we have been through most causes, just a simple tasks of putting a new one on. thanks i let you know if everything goes smoothly. jep

you may be able to replace just the motorised head. depending on the model of your valve.
