You need a gsr in to look at your boiler. We cannot and will not give advice on the installation or repair of boilers for your own safety. Please go to Gas Safe Register | Ensure your gas engineer is registered. or post a thread in the 'I'm looking for a plumber / gas engineer' section of these forums remembering to include your location. I'm looking for a Plumber or Gas Engineer If you are gsr please increase your post count to 10+ then send a pm to either Gas man or Redsaw who will then check you and then give you access to the gsr private forum. Thank you. http://www.ukplumbersforums.co.uk/central-heating-forum/42241-notice-gas-safety-related-advice.html

Hi Tom & Mrs Tara P We will deliver anywhere on the UK mainland - orders over £100 + vat are delivered free, orders under that are £10, although we don't charge the tenner to regulars who are within the radius of our branches. Having said that, bear in mind that some items lend themselves better to carrier delivery than others, and although we are very proud of our service, its a lot easier to give top notch service when the delivery is on one of our vehicles with our driver. So while we would deliver a complicated bathroom order with lots of fragile items to Aberdeen, it would probably make more sense for an Aberdeen customer to shop locally for that type of order, and only use us for things where the chances of a carrier breaking stuff is less. Obviously we take responsibility for carrier damage, but that doesn't help if the job is delayed waiting for a replacement. In the experience we have gained so far, small orders are well handled by the carriers. Very large orders that we can palletise also work well, because the pallet gives protection. Its the mid-sized, fragile items that cause the cock ups. Ray

You should get on to that specialist lawyer that you spoke of earlier and do it soon. Remember SNIPEF is an organisation for Plumbers and will try to defend their members first. They also have a legal department and offer this service to their members, so you may find yourself in a long expensive legal battle. They send me membership requests every few months and I refuse to join.

If you ever have to give anything to a customer as a payment towards damages always get a receipt signed stating what the damages were, the amount you are paying them in settlement and that they are accepting it IN FULL AND FINAL PAYMENT. They can't come back to you then. We all learned the hard way.

I can't see what the fuss about reducing the diameter is. Most of the time the slight reduction is neither here nor there. If size is critical then just use a reamer and open it out again. Seemples.
