They will say no as it's not an approved product. Both of the pumps I listed will only turn on when the tap is opened. They are suitable because they have flow limiters built in. Unless you look at fitting break tanks there are only two pumps that are suitable at the moment.

120 -150 a day is too low unless you are really slow. It's a wage but you need to be charging as a business. Factor in all of the running costs, van insurance, van repairs, public liability, tool renewals and you will soon find that you are actually working for a pittance. Then figure in holidays, time spent on paperwork etc. You shouldn't need to work 7 days a week, 365 days a year to get by. Most of your customers work 9-5 5 days a week and get 5 weeks holiday a year. People charging too little are undervaluing the profession.

There is no missing pound. The men paid ten pounds each, the waiter gave them a quid each back so they have now paid nine pounds each, £27 in total. The meal was £25 leaving a surplus of £2 which the thieving waiter pocketed. It's just the way it has been worded.

The inbuilt bypass is not enough if all rads have TRVs fitted. You're likely to cause the pump to fail prematurely. To comply with part L the stat should be in the same room as a radiator with no TRV fitted.

Why do some plumbers feel the need to coat everything with silicone!! Just got back from changing two diaphragm in a school toilets (so it was not a DIY job!) and everything water touched had loads of silicone coated on! Retaining nut, rubber washer in cistern, nut on the flush pipe. Then PTFE and silicone mix of the thread of the syphon! I changed the diaphragms stripped all the PTFE all the silicone just nipped everything back up and guess what. No leaks! So why do some plumbers insist on coating everything with silicone it's just not needed! The syphon is designed not to leak so why do some people still insist on this nonsence and make future maintenance jobs that little bit harder. I've come across this loads of times and never got a call back for a leak. :rant:
