So I am still in the process of starting up my business, I thought of of looking for a business mentor so i can run ideas from to help me. I mean this is the first time i have run a business, but i think for a majority of the questions i have i might ask here :smile5:

I have put together and designed my own website, and a Facebook page. I have added myself to google and i have been put on the yell.com website. This is the only advertising i am doing at the moment. So work isn't constant. I have left business cards with friends and family and the customers i have done work for. But i am going to email local contractors with my details in case they have extra work they would like to sub contract out, or just need a hand with a job or two.

I am looking into courses for unvented or to get part p. But I'm struggling to find the courses in Milton Keynes. But also need to make money before i can go on the courses.

So in the meantime to make my business more professional i have created a professional email layout. I have made a mobile friendly version of my website. Where if you click the phone numbers it opens your call dialer screen, and if you click the email it opens a email app you have installed.

My most recent is creating a invoice document. That will have a carbon copy.

If anyone has any advice, feel free to share, I am also open to criticism if you think i could improve something.

Thanks for the advice :) although a lap of thought, but they were on the toilet that I was removing and heading to the tip. I wouldn't put tools on anything that was staying or just been installed. :D

maybe not have a pic of it on your website tho :D might send the wrong impression and how did you come up with the name?

Thanks for the advice, i removed them.

The name... Well i struggled to come up with a name to trade under. A lot of the names i thought of had already been used or i couldn't get a website domain name.. So i just used my last name and added pipes. Even Powells Plumbing was taken..
