Hi All,

I have this unit above the en suite shower cubical. I thought it was a light but it did not light up so i have been up into the loft and had a look at it. It has an electrical supply but not sure what it is or what it is suppose to be doing. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

It looks like it could be a light but the bulb is missing, probably an IP rated one if it's over a shower area. You need to look into the fitting and see if it takes a bulb.

I think you're right. Looks like it would hold a small diameter screw-in or bayonet bulb.

Do not use it for one its not fire rated and it doesn't look ip rated or low voltage

Looks like it will b upstairs, due to the loft insulation, so fire rated not required, it's a good idea but not a requirement.

I`d try asking the electricians in our sister forum.

its an old water resistant eddison shower spot from the 90's irc there not shock proof!
the outer white ring lense on the ceiling unscrews then withdraw fitting.

rip out and plug hole or change for new ipc.

OK, i am glad i asked now. Sounds like i do not want to just leave it there. I might get it replaced as it would be good to have a spotlight in the shower. I will get my electrician contact in to look at it.

Thanks again! I will post when it has been confirmed exactly what it is.

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...
