Can anyone please explain the pipework on this cylinder to me. It’s got a mate of mine scratching his head and I have never seen one before in my life. I understand the concept but the pipework and configuration make no sense to me.

blending valve on the top connections to stop scolding water temps

Looks like some strange type of het store But never seen anything like this, is this in an ex council house ? cos they did some very strange systems

thermal store ?

figured it out :D

Blending valve pipe with shock atrestor on hot out
Pipe going to bottom of cylinder cold tank into tmv and cylinder

Left pipe coming out of tmv blended hot

Defo a thermal store mate

The one going into the TMV and bottom of cylinder is mains pressure mate. (Apparently)

Yea so coil is under mains pressure normal so that means he's got high pressure at the hot tap ?

Two options either swap for another thermal store or change for an unvented and run a discharge

This in a hard water area seems lots of corrosion on some fittings, where does the silver pipe behind the pump go ? could do with a couple more photos from a different angle

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

I have an ideal vogue max S18 boiler and I’m considering fitting auto balancing TRVs, my question relates to the boilers pump. I see a boiler pump menu for either 70% or 100%, so, is the pump set at either one of two fixed speed percentages or does the pump actually vary speed, (modulate)...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
