Typing mistake this is a Vented System. On a visit to my mates house over the holidays, he asked about a intermittent problem with there power shower, he thinks the connection was made by the council plumbers some years ago. my questions is two fold, firstly i was always of the belief that no solder fittings should be used within the first 1m from exiting the top of the cylinder, it has a solder elbow instead of a formed bend and then half way along the level run to the vent and feed pipe there is a solder t inserted which is part of my other query this is where the takeoff for the shower has been inserted which after 4 inches then is run in 15mm poly using a poly plumb straight connector, the cylinder is fed by 22mm and the pump is drawing in 15mm. but if the shower is used twice when it starts for a short while there seems to be very limited hot water, its my thoughts that its causing a bit of an air lock in the cylinder.
any input would be appreciated.

Thanks
Billy

Hi Guys
was typing this after talking with him about upgrading to unvented and still bleary eyed, it is of course a vented system.
DOH

soldered fittings are fine. the tee is not the best but they do work. many pumps have maximum run times in a n hour. better to leave longer between showers
