Hi guys, I am converting an under stairs toilet into a shower room. The shower tray needs to be above the toilet outlet as can be seen in the picture. Now I want to get this as low as possible so wondering if I can use 3 inch pipe to reduce the height of the shower tray?

3" pipe won't allow you to go with less of a fall for the tray ???

Shaun, you are always the first to reply. Do you ever do any work??? Hehe. I appreciate it though. I am not quite sure what you mean , less of a fall? I just want to try and get the step into the shower as low as possible. Cheers Lee

Just the shower going into the pipe or shower and basin ?

And 2" should be more than enough

    :D work odd times

So straight above the soil pipe you see will be an elbow for toilet going out the wall and a boss on the elbow for the shower. The basin waste I shall run into the external toilet branch. Not the best but ok.

Best to keep the toilet in 4" and could you run the shower waste external?

No can't run the shower externally as the toilet waste is higher to get the fall on the loo as it's 1.5metres away from the connection in the picture. So it will be pretty much where the basin waste goes into in the picture.

Your looking at about 25 mm then for your fall it will be close but I think it will work with the existing connection for the old basin
