Dead little mouse

Mouse powered boiler?

All the surface mount components look intact. Looks perhaps like one wire completely missing? as well as several damaged.

Interesting how repairable it might be considered to be, and who would want to attempt that. Need a quick way to tell if the circuit boards might be damaged before spending too long on it. I'm totally non qualified but I'd want to check the chassis earth all present and correct just as a first step. So interesting to me as a rank amateur (I wouldn't go near a boiler or gas) how much electrical training a gas engineer gets (and acquires).

Yes correct guys had a furry visitor no evidence of him other than the chewing and poop 🤣🤣 PCB is shorted out black and scorched on the back £207 for a board no choice but to go for it .

A Proper boiler how often do you get to work on one of these and look at the ratio 😁

Yes bud do it every year pictures are from a 2019 full strip down clean and service gets done like that every 3 years , and a interim clean and check in between , was booked to remove old shower doors and fit new ones there yesterday when I got the call "I've no hot water"a new PCB is on order and few wiring repairs and 🤞 hope she comes back to life 😉

Nice to see someone who can actually be bothered to treat an old boiler with some respect rather than just give it short shrift because it's old anyway.

0.0001 is the flue gas co/co2 ratio it tells us how well the boiler is burning, the lower the reading the better the combustion, less carbon monoxide is produced and put into the atmosphere 6ppm is very low for a old boiler and goes to show what can be achieved . Kop

Update fellas new PCB and set of electrodes and a bit of wiring replaced and she's back up and running new door and frame on order 😉👍. Kop

Recently had a Viessmann Vitodens combi boiler installed, quite often when the adjacent cold mixer tap is opened the boiler starts for a few seconds! Can anyone tell me what is causing this? And how to cure?

Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.
