I see the government has now doubled the RHPP for solar thermal from £300 to £600 which will be taken off the RHI if it ever happens hopefully it might lead to more interest in solar thermal.the solarblogger

Just seen they've all had an increase, be interesting to see if it makes a difference seeing as the RHI payments are just about forgotten about in most peoples eye's. (domestic)

Got to have a green deal assessment though! Ill be talking to someone in the know about this tomorrow so will be back with more info. Definitely will need gd assessment for any rhpp taken out from now on though

Please keep us posted eaton. Sounds like a easy way to rail road you into green deal and associated costs.

do you need to be a GD installer as well, or are they just interested in the RDSAP report?

Ok long chat today, ill put it like this,

any rhpp funded install will need a green deal assessment first, so find a local one and befriend him, if he steals/pushes others for your work, beat the ****ty out of him. Green deal itself isn't for any of us yet but give it a few months and it maybe worth while. The Eco fund is what is being pushed from green deal for the foreseeable but its aimed at insulation and gas boilers.

so for solar thermal it'll be £600 less the cost of a green deal assessment £99? which is a big chunk off your rhpp

Current est for gd is £75-150 but expectations suggest after a while it will drop further.

Does the GDA have to meet any specific banding or level or is it just a paperwork exercise?

I have attached an image of the brass body within a tap. Having replaced a cartridge which has cured a leaking tap, I can see that there is a small leak from the brass body which can be unscrewed. Is there a seal behind the body? Thanks.
