Has anyone ever heard of the Shine 21 course for Solar Hot water systems?, i did it about 6 years ago with a company i used to work for, and i was wondering if it was the equivelent to the bpec course of today?

Howdy! Yep, same thing my friend - I have the old Shine 21 manual at home and have the Logic one too. I'd advise the Logic Certification over Bpec as I've heard the assessment criteria is more testing.

Not sure If i will bother now to be honest, I have done about 200 solar thermal systems, about 20 wood pellet boilers and 4 pv systems with the old company I worked for, but since being s/e I haven't done any renewables, and havnt really pushed for it anywhere

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...
