What causes a burner motor to jam on start up. Give the fan a push and away she goes.
 
The capacitor might be gone and needs replaced.
Sometimes a tight motor or oil pump can also damage capacitors.
That really should be checked at each service and replaced if motor hasn't a split second quick start up.

Hi. I have a firebird enviromax combi boiler. each time it turns off the motor on the riello burner keeps running for a while then the whole thing goes into lock out. flashing green and red. shouldn't the motor turn off straight away? I'm also getting pressure building up while it's running...
