Hi,

We have just had new plumbing fitted underneath
the kitchen sink. Please see the photo.
Unfortunately mistakes were made and
now we have 2 new stopcocks instead of
one and also 2 extra bends in the copper
pipe.

Can anyone foresee any issues with
this? I was concerned the cold water
pressure may be reduced ...

not pleasing to the eye, but seeing it is in 22mm pipework, I doubt you'll suffer any issues. Lever valves were used, so why fit TWO of them?

I would easily have just used the one bend. Personally, I would have pulled a 90 degree bend on the 22.

Not the nicest to look at but mains will cope with the small resistance. At least you have isolation valves . Rather have 2 than 0. So youl be fine.

Agree with the above. Cannot understand why this has occurred but shouldn't pose a problem. The pressure loss will be so minimal it will go unnoticed

Full bore lever valves have little resistance just a lazy plumber that installed it.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the replies, I do feel better
now ...

should be a stop tap, a lever can be fitted above if you wanted a valve that turns off easier/ quicker.

I think maybe the plumb put the lowest one on in a rush maybe to get back water on then realised once cupboard installed it wouldn't be accessible by the customer so installed a second one instead of knocking the water back off.

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
