New combi boiler losing pressure

Hi,

So yesterday I had a new Worcester Bosch Greenstar combi boiler fitted to replace my old Vokera combi.

I've noticed that every time I check the water pressure it is slowly falling and is now just below 1 bar. The engineer who fitted it assured me I'd never have to touch the water pressure, but the way things are going I'm going to have to repressurise within a week or so.

I phoned up the people who installed it and they didn't seem that interested but said something about the boiler having new water (they did a power flush) so there could be air in the water??? Didn't understand this at all.

I've checked all the radiators and they seem dry with no sign of a leak. On the old boiler the water pressure stayed pretty constant - I hadn't touched it for years so I don't understand why this is happening on a new (and expensive) boiler. It's so disappointing to have spent all this money, hoping for a hassle free boiler and there's *already* a problem

Any thoughts?

Let it settle for a week and should stabilise

It will rise as you use it and then lower as it cools , but needs to be 1 bar when its cooled down. If it does start to drop below that after a few days , the installer must come back

Here is a picture of what it looks like - only difference is that mine has a clock timer in the center to control on/off times

ah sorry, no can't do that, but I've checked the pipework for any signs of seepage and can't see any, and there are no drops of water beneath the boiler.

Fresh water will have air in
Also draining and refilling to fit the new boiler will leave small pockets of air
This will either be trapped at the top of the radiators or released through the auto air vent
Its quite normal to top up the pressure a couple of times after this type of work, it should then settle down

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on it over the next few weeks and hopefully it will settle down by then. If it doesn't then I'm going to have to get the installers back.
