About 6 months ago my victorian style bath mixer shower stopped mixing the water. It would run hot then cold, but you could shower by keep adjusting the temperature flow on the cold tap throughout the shower. Gradually it stopped working all together so i replaced the victorian style one with a new thermostatic mixer. This has not solved the problem. Currently the water will come through at a nice temperature initially then after 10 seconds it will go freezing cold and not warm up again unless I pull the mixer plug and run it through the bath tap again. I have had 5 heating engineer and plumber visits and had a pressure reducing valve fitted on the taps running to the shower, the boiler had a pressure sensor replaced as it previously was losing pressure but is now fine and there are no leaking pipes or radiators and the radiators have been bled. The taps in the bathroom sink work fine too.
I am desperate to get this sorted as it is getting me down not being able to use the shower as there is myself and 3 children trying to use the bathroom.
The boiler is a combi boiler, potterton performa he, and the whole heating and radiator system is only 10 years old as it replaced a warm air system in 1996.

Help!

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
