I am subbing to a company at the moment. They had lots of work locally but now I am boing sent to a job 50miles away (100 round trip)
I have asked about mileage allowance and they insist they only pay 20p per mile which is taxed at source so I end up with 16p

I have told them I want 40p but waiting to hear back

Anyone else claim mileage?

Yep 50p a mile over 25 miles

Are you self employed?
If so track your mileage and claim that cost against your tax

50p a mile or work on a day rate so your expenses are covered would be my advice i do work for a builder and charge a day rate which increases the further i have to travel bigger jobs are priced . cheers Kop

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
