Worcester Bosche Greenstar R30 HE Combi. No hot water/Heating works ok. No error codes displayed.

With heating off. Flow switch rises on demand burner does not fire. Diverter motor head piston in. Diverter valve moves freely. Turn tap off and the flow switch returns to rest. The burner runs for several seconds. The display is at 70 degrees and then the boiler switches off. Open a tap. The flow switch rises. No burner. Manually make the micro switch and the burner fires and gives plenty of hot water. Replaced micro switch. Still no success. Replaced pcb. Still no success. Head scratching now ???? Anyone had this fault.

Hi The diverter valve can still be faulty even though its making the micro switch .
Run the the hot water and see if the ch flow pipe heats up or vice versa either that or your nct stat or overheat stat thats all. But most likely the diverter valve.
Good luck, been there.

Thank you for the input. However, if the central heating demand is off and the hot water tap is run with the flow switch micro switch manually made. There is plenty of hot water which negates the diverter valve as the primary water has to go through the plate to plate. Any other ideas??

Is the diverter making the micro switch or not extending fully due to worn diaphragm?

Here's a safe idea. Get an experienced gas safe registered engineer in to resolve the issue. We cannot and will not give out advice on repairs to a gas appliance.

welcome to the forum tho!

Hello. On the Greenstar R30 HE the flow switch is a seperate assembly and is not attached to the diverter valve.

As stated. You need a gsr in to look at your boiler. We cannot and will not give advice on the installation or repair of boilers for your own safety.

Please go to Gas Safe Register | Ensure your gas engineer is registered. or post a thread in the 'I'm looking for a plumber / gas engineer' section of these forums remembering to include your location. [DLMURL="http://www.ukplumbersforums.co.uk/im-looking-plumber-gas-engineer/"]I'm looking for a Plumber or Gas Engineer[/DLMURL]

If you are gsr please increase your post count to 10+ then send a pm to either Gas man or Redsaw who will then check you and then give you access to the gsr private forum.

Thank you.
