we’ve had a shower pod fitted for 3 years now with external pump in airing cupboard, with direct feed from hot water tank via Essex flange and direct from cold tank in loft but lately the hot water in the pod is luke warm at best, hot water from sink is piping hot ... also cold pressure in bathroom has gone low although this happened before the hot water problem any ideas appreciated

if everything else is fine hot wise i would say either scale or the cartridge has gone

any works happened on the cold side?

We do live in a very hard water area .... if it is scale is there a cure ?? Sorry cartridge?? Not sure if there’s a cartridge....and no works on the cold ...thanks for the reply

yea you can get some limescale remover just need to soak the cartridge overnight, if that doesnt work sorry to say you need a new one

thats going to be fun you will need to know the manufacture of the shower etc

is the cold water mains or a tank fed?

Tank fed direct to pump then from airing cupboard to loft and back down to the shower ...the make should be fine as we fitted it so will have the paperwork...well somewhere

no sorry the cold pressure in the bathroom i mean unless its through the pump as well?

Could be the feed / supply from the tank has a bit of scale starting to form etc
