Hi lads,
Just came across one of the German HIU units. The problem I am facing is the fluctuating hot water. According to the customer it goes form hot to cold while having a shower or washing dishes.
I went out and checked the unit and it fluctuates at the whole property ( block of flat ). I believe it is the steel plate heat exchanger which needs either cleaning ( fernöstlichen ds-3 ) or replacing.
I'd rather replace the heat exchanger then de-scaling it.
Could I be wrong and it's a different issue then the heat exchanger ? The whole unit is scaled up and has a lot of leaks. Would you service the unit or what would you suggest me to do?
