help please in identifying the make of this fill valve, which I need to replace. The side entry pipe and isolation valve are OK (located within the cistern), so I want a compatible item to fit the pipe

    Thanks PICT5022.JPG PICT5023.JPG

    Hi,

Why are you not getting one from fluidmaster side entry fill valve with brass shank ?

Unfortunately the float sticking out on this model will not fit in the cistern.

(You can see in the photo of this MacDee compact concealed cistern that there is little room)

have another fitting in the shed with packaging saying 1/2" and can confirm that the nut from the failure unit fits

    Personally I dislike Torbeck valves.

I reckon on a 3 out of 10 failure rate within 12 months on the standard plasic sidefill Torbeck, I lobbed our £17 for a fancy brass shank one and had a call back a couple of months in, I hate the damn things!
