Evening all,

I've been to service an Ideal Logic Combi 30 today and when I tested the working pressure at the inlet it was only 10mb on maximum rate. The WP was 20mb at the meter. The analytics were spot on and the gas rate 3m/hr. The pipework is correctly sized and there doesn't appear to be any blockage. I had a similar result (15mb) with another Logic. When I ran Ideal technical they said it was okay. So much for a one millibar drop! Has anyone else had a similar experience with a Logic?

4.5mbar on the logics drop due to gas valve resistance

i would say filter blocked or gas pipe too small

The test point under the boiler on the valve?
Ideal allow about 1.5mb loss at this point, plus your 1mb on pipework
Sounds like undersized pipe

Its in the book
Because its a 15mm tail and 15mm-1/2" valve its slighly restrictive

you cant test at the internal gas valve

Sometimes, people solder a 22mm reducer onto 15mm that’s buried in the floor, as close to the floor as possible. It might look like 22mm but if a section of pipe is in the floor or hidden, I’d bet it’s 15mm.
