Morning and welcome along to the world of madness and mayhem. If you have an amazing mentor the fast track route can work, but it is harder to start with. It might be a little more in price dependent on elements taken but will get you working quicker.Cheers kop. I might have to go the credit card route like you say. I'm not looking for a short cut or fast track as I realise there is a lot to learn. I just wondered since the college can't sign off on the portfolio which is the essential piece of evidence is the college training an absolute necessity if your mentor can teach you the exact same thing? When I read this back I know it sounds like a guy trying to weasel his way out of doing a course but to eventually become gas registered the bpec course is not recognised and it seems as though as long as you have the knowledge and evidence to prove competence then that is all that's needed as a pre requisite to sit the acs exams as a cat 3. Sorry for the long post.
