Hi I'm new to the forum It looks great. Could anybody tell me why part this is? Is from by the gas control valve on the boiler? I have attached 2 pictures its the small part im talking about. Thanks

Why have you removed the gas valve????

/ what you trying to do
 
Are you having problems with your boiler ? its a type of switch, cant give you to much information on gas parts unless your a registered engineer, Forum rules.
 
If you are gas safe registered. Please drop your gas safe number to @Lou and she will sort you out. As stated above we cannot give gas advice to unregistered people. Sorry.
