For the life of me I can't seem to find the way to remove the Thermostatic handle.

The Hansgrohe Ecostat web pages seem to i cage a simple flat scre.

However mine is not and neither is it a 3mm Alan key.

Viessmann combi starts when cold, mixer, tap is opened
