Halstead hero 60 boiler works fine but spark lead is a bit tatty and all spares sites show it as obsolete, if it burns out what grade of cable couls I use to replace it , or could I use a cable of suitable length from a different boiler?

Thanks

Are you gas safe uncle Barry ?

No, but my plumber is, just to add, I suffered from late ignition with this boiler for years, had every gas safe engineer and his uncle look at it and no fix. I found the problem when a new board was being fitted (by a gas safe engineer) the spark lead comes out of the board at a very tight angle and is hard up against the boiler casing causing a short which reduced the amount of oomph to the electrode, two pieces of insulation tape cured it, really bad design fault and before you tell me I know Halstead made rubbish boilers.

I have attached an image of the brass body within a tap. Having replaced a cartridge which has cured a leaking tap, I can see that there is a small leak from the brass body which can be unscrewed. Is there a seal behind the body? Thanks.
