I have an external oil fired grant boiler. I have just fitted a new oil pump and bled the system but the boiler fires up for 3 seconds and then cuts out. any ideas???

Oil pump gauge?
Analyser?

Then stop messing around with something that could kill you or your family.

Hello Simon, you stole my next post to the OP! As you said get someone in who knows what they are doing. Oil boilers can produce a lot of CO and need to be set up correctly by someone who knows what they are doing.

We hear it all the time. I found today we were competing against a postman for an install of an oil boiler! Luckily the Customer had some sense and we got the job. Frightening really.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
