Hi,

I'm looking to supply hot and cold water to my garage. The pipes i'm planning to connect from are 15mm under my kitchen. Wouod you recommend using 15mm pipe, or 22mm pipe out to the garage? Garage will be used for wshing machine, washhand basin and my hosepipe.

Thanks in advance

How long are we talking on the runs ?? 15 mm should be fine just ensure that you insulate

Perfect world should be 750-1350 deep to avoid freezing and to protect pipes from above traffic. Your hot might be struggling to stay hot at that distance. Maybe an over sink water heater might work better for you

Thanks Riley, the duct is already in so i'll make it work.

As for the hot water, i have a big silly wood burner - i'll give it a whirl!

Well it's more a case of the water cooling along that 10 meter run. Seems a little excessive to put a secondary return on it

Also you're running the risk of the water cooling and creating legionella should the tap not be used for a while

As above, if it was me i'd run only cold feed to the garage in one length of plastic pipe, make sure its well insulated and inside the house fit a full bore lever valve, double check valve and drain off,

then just fit a over or under the sink heater for the hot tap

Copper pipes, I think its fair to say, is not what it used to be, the copper is getting thin while the cost is going up. Meanwhile, plastic Pushfit seems to be getting better and better, cost and convenience was always better, but now the quality is to, have we reached a stage where plastic will...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...
