Having loosened the allen screw the tap seems to be fused onto the valve. Any ideas on how I can get it off to replace the valve?
 
Normally need to give it a wiggle, especially if its fairly old.

When you put it back together make sure you grease the washers with either a silicon grease or Vaseline.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO ADJUST THIS MIXER UNIT? WE HAVE TO HAVE IT TURNED ALMOST FULLY ANTI CLOCKWISE TO GET HOT WATEROUT. THE FRONT PLATE WITH MIRA ON IT PRISES OFF AND INSIDE THERE ARE SOME PLASTIC BITS AND A SMALL CROSS-HEAD SCREW IN THE MIDDLE. THANKS
