Anyone got the 18v version?

Batteries only lasted about 30 mins each cutting grout out today. 2.5ah

One of my friends has got it its a good tool but he hasnt got the issue with 30min battery ... should last much longer than that. for how long do you charge those batteries?

They were fully charged

It was used non stop today to cut grout out, 30 mins might be 45 mins but defo less than an hour constant use.

I'll email Fein

Make a complaint I think & see what they say.

as i said my friend did the same job few weeks ago and used 1 battery at least 2 hours if not longer ... perhaps you really should ask if thats normal and complain ... how old is your machine and batteries ?

It's not old. I charged the batts fully yesterday as I knew I'd need them both.

Batt indicate showed 4 greens.

I've sent Fein uk a message.

I'll let you know when I've got a reply.

cheers would like to know whats the outcome.

That's why I went for the 240 volt one, my mate had the battery one but sent it back as not powerful enough

I just bought a 240 one after seeing people rave about them on here. I'm so pleased I got it, I think it's a great tool to have on the van and plenty of power in it. Comes with a 5m lead as well I think.

Couldn't agree more, for board lifting there's nothing better. Low dust and it gets in anywhere.

If that's 45 min of constant use I don't think that's too bad for a 2.5ah battery
Be interested to see Feins reply

I too don't think your run time under load was too bad tbh, I found a multi-tool test online albeit only included the Fein 14.4v version with a higher rated battery...not great.

Any tool that has a big contact area being worked hard - like a grinder or saw or multitool which use fairly big blades working against a large area, will have heavy use of batteries. That is why you usually get bigger amp/hour battery with those tools.
On the subject of 240volt multi tools tools, - I have both the Fein and the Lidl Parkside multi tools. The Lidl tool is excellent and costs at present under ÂŁ30 including set of blades. Fein cost about ÂŁ200 more.

Just had a reply from Fein, they said approx 50 mins constant use would be normal. I'm happy as I thought my batts were duds.

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
