WHat is going on here? boiler is full of water- i CHECKED
boiler downstairs in the kitchen, cylinder upstairs in airing cupboard- Y-plan
Rads downstairs on drops, lots of air in system- seems extra difficult to bleed (being gravity)
3 DROPS - 5 rads downstairs, 3 upstairs -
AV above pump, (going to change for AAV) bled pump to

F85 refresh my memory? Is that flow and return temps? If so are the sensors fitted in place correctly. Did you change the pump? If so what setting is it on?

Yup flow and return temp diff not great enough/ boiler empty-low water/ temp sensors not correctly installed
pump not changed- setting 3-

Have you made sure the sensors are on properly and I would change the pump to an alpha 2

Flow and return the right way round ?

Is it pumping the right way meaning was the pump on the return on the old boiler ? Post a couple of pictures

Well who felt like a plonker then?? Yup, pump f*ult! I did test it with the screw driver pushed in- did it stop- no! Vaillant bloke came did the same thing and it ground to a halt.... no idea- gremlins laughing at me... bit of panic goes a long way.. thought i did plumb it in wrong, thought the new boiler was faulty, thought lots of things but didn't do a second check on the pump... tested the resistance on the pump after replacing... zero- still feel flabbergasted... scratching .... sorry no pics- can't work that out either....:(o_O:D

Ps- would any of you converted system to pressurised CH and S plan, as a normal procedure-?
I mean how do you decide to do that or not? I've thought pressurising has the possibility of leaks all over, post install. I would've perhaps changed to S plan but small house and difficult access- also would have had to changed HW cylinder but customer denied permission- cost too much...:eek:
