Why are there two sizes ****ed me off? Had a nightmare today replacing parts in a concealed cistern. It had been screwed to the wall before the vanity unit was erected arounded it so i had to totally destroy it to get it out. Went to screwfix to get a new cistern and it's all working fine. Problem is lady wants a lever flush not a button so i bought the lever flush version and it's smaller width so isn't compatible with now installed cistern. Anyone experienced this and what did they do? I know there's adapters a have a load but they are for normal porcelain cistern not a plastic one. Can i just use the new one and put a shitloadd of silicone sealant? Cheers Peggy sue

5 inch or 2 inch. 8 been dealing with it for a year but I'm just thinking wtf can't they just have one size?

So am I right in saying the original flushpipe is 2" at Syphon end and goes into the back of the toilet 1.5"..and the new cistern has an 1.5" Syphon??

I see...lever Syphon is 1.5" but hole in cistern is 2"? Just get an adapter and a new 1.5" flushpipe.

Yea some flush pipes are matched (2" one end normal 1.5 the other) to push button flushes with a special compression nut as the threads on push button arnt long

Fluid master include them in there kits in short it's a washer with a lip for 2" so it centres itself

One thing that bugs me they don't include a plastic washer for the nut end as it only just covers so I normally fit an 1.5" washer from city's
