Went away for afew days and had my catalytic converter stolen
Van parked on the road in front of my mothers house in a small quiet village but in view of the main road. I thought it would be safer there....
Obviously my Vito has to be twice the price of a another Vito because its a twin cat?
Will cost me the best part of £500 and at least 2-3days without work, not to mention the aggro its caused. I prefer the days when they just robbed your TV and VCR

It`s not a technical requirement for an mot Tom and an extension piece is available.

Damn - Mechanic ordered one for me today.
I thought it would be a requirement. I might give him a ring tomorrow
Thanks RPM

Haven't had one for 2yrs and my mot tester don't seem to care might vary mind.

Hmm. But could the OP fail a roadside emissions test if not to the standard of the original construction? Do the police actually do roadside emissions tests or is it just propaganda?

Police dont Ric, its VOSA that do.

If I remember correctly, the MOT centres here no longer do emission test on diesels.

Visual check. If you haven't got one, garage wont pass it is what ive been told.
Obviously my van was the year they had a twin cat fitted.
So along with the lamba sensor, it cost me £488 plus 3days off work

There are a couple of catalytic converters for a Vito going cheap on this forum somewhere, I think?

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
