Folks,

Went to a job today to cap off a very large gas meter. Didn't quote for it as the pipe coming out was 2.5" LCS and I wouldn't have a clue where to get caps for the meter. They just want the gas supply disconnecting and the meter capped off.

Can you do this on a domestic ticket or does it need commercial even with decommissioning?

Also, where do you buy larger meter blanking discs?? No where seems to sell them in Lincoln anyway.

That's 4 jobs I've had to say no to now, still not worth doing commercial gas yet I think.

No not on a domestic ticket

Normally get Nat grid to remove and cap service

Or cap above ecv
