Hi All,
We have a Worcester Bosch Camray 5, oil combi boiler. I'm new to combi's and oil but we inherited it on recent house move.
Problems started when the system began to loose pressure, I noticed that the 3 Port Valve was leaking from the actuating spindle, so I changed it, like for like with a Danfoss Randle HSV3, valve only, keeping the original actuator. All is well with leak and pressure sorted, CH works as programmed twice a day, and HW is set on for continuous use. If HW tap is opened while CH is on then flow light comes on and hot water is produced, goes back to CH when finished. So all is well, BUT pump (Grundfoss UPS 2 15 50/60) has been running and circulating water since valve changed, the boiler doesn't light, just the pump runs without HW or CH.
I assume that should not be the case? The boiler is in what used to be an outside loo attached to the house and the pipework comes in through the wall. Since we've moved in and since I've changed the valve it has been f'ing cold! So where the boiler is, is cold, does the pump circulate in cold weather to keep from freezing or is it something else?
Grateful for any advice.

could be actuator head. hsa 3 cd. 5 wire.

mind you , boiler should fire also. unless its up to temp.

Could be frost stat. Does it have a frost stat? If it has then it needs a pipe stat on the return to disable frost stat once the boiler has warmed up.

Hi all, thanks for the info. Nothing to report, as now I have some free time to investigate, it has stopped doing it! If it starts again i'll take up your suggestions. Thanks anyway.

If it happens again, call Worcester. Their helpline is open until 8pm, have a meter at hand though (assuming you are an appropriately trained person).
