Any ideas on this issue,

This is the boiler at home and its doing my head in.

Every night about 4.30 am it makes a loud hmm then 4 loud thud noises then abruptly stops and this repeats every night.

Last night i caught the boiler doing exactly this whilst getting a drink , nothing showing on display and ironic if its in stand by mode it still does it.

Its exactly the same noise it makes when you turn the mains power on but much quieter and more subtle when i do this.

What is causing this ??

whats running ? pump anti seize mode?

whats running ? pump anti seize mode?

No Idea , it makes the same noises if you turn the main power on the socket to the boiler however its much more aggressive and loud through the night to the point of its like a hammer banging

That's what you get for installing a Alpha ! and in your own house !! should have known better :disappointed:

Water hammer/ excessive pressure forcing the dhw flow switch?

Treat yourself and get one, it may cure the problem, and it'll stop the dhw heat exchanger seals leaking in the future!

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
