Hi folks, I recently moved into this bungalow and am not at all happy with the boiler, which is situated in the garage. Every morning I have to run off 3/4 of a bucket of water before any hot water arrives and even then it's not very warm I have to boil a kettle to wash the dishes. Kitchen and bathroom are at opposite end to the garage. Any advice welcomed please.

1. If the hot water is plumbed in 22mm pipe, re-pipe in 15mm.
2. Insulate the pipes with good quality, thick, insulation.
3. Investigate why water is not hot enough. Could be heat loss through long runs of pipe, could be boiler temperature not turned up high enough, could be boiler fault.
4. If problem persists, consider using combi to heat vented or unvented hot water cylinder.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
